Artist of the Month: Beachcat

This month’s spotlight is on Beachcat, a project led by musicians Bill and Tommy that blends experimentation with a grounded sense of songwriting. Their sound moves between indie rock, lo-fi pop, and shades of psych rock, drawing on texture and atmosphere as much as melody.

So far, Beachcat has shared a series of early releases Galore (rough), Songs (rough), and Sampler. These recordings function less as finished statements and more as open sketches, revealing the ideas and instincts behind the music.

With new material currently in development, It’s a project that thrives in the unfinished but intentional, exploratory but cohesive making Beachcat a fitting choice for October’s Artist of the Month.
