My name’s Bill, and I’ve loved music for as long as I can remember. When I was a kid, my mom handed me one of those Columbia House brochures and told me I had a certain number of CDs to pick out. We sat there together making our choices, and that was the start of me really listening to music. I learned quickly what I liked and what I didn’t. I still don’t care for Bon Jovi, and I especially don’t like The Beatles.
Since then, the obsession has only grown. I’ve built up a big vinyl collection, plus tapes and CDs, and yeah, I use Spotify too. I’m not weird about it. My own music’s on there, so it just makes sense both ways.
Later on, two of my closest friends also really fell into music, and that connection became the backbone of our friendship. It still is today. On average, I probably listen to about seven albums a day. Some days I like to see how much I can cram in, and other days I plan out a whole listening schedule.
I love talking about a lot of things, but music is at the top of the list. I’ve been playing for a long time and have become a pretty well-rounded musician. I honestly believe the best way to grow as a player is to listen to a ton of music.
Now, I want to take that passion and put it into writing. Not just to have a project to work on, but also to sharpen my skills and find better ways to express what music makes me feel. And honestly, I don’t just want this to be me talking into the void. I want to interact, trade recommendations, swap stories, argue a little, and connect with other people who care about music as much as I do.
If you love discovering new sounds, revisiting old ones, or just need a place to nerd out about albums, I’d love for you to join me. because thats what we should do
